AGRO- TERRORISM IS A REAL THREAT

“The definition of agroterrorism is the deliberate introduction of an animal or plant disease for the purpose of generating fear, causing economic losses, or undermining social stability,” said Harchack. “Agroterrorism doesn’t have to be done by Al Qaeda; it can be done by activists or disgruntled employees or anyone who wants to hurt food security in the U.S.”

Harchack explained some of the potential threats that agroterrorism might pose on farmers and ranchers.
