IDEAS TARGET WORM-LOAD MANAGEMENT IN GRAZING LAMBS

 Though there is some evidence a milk diet is somewhat “protective” against worm infections in preweaned lambs, producer experience with late March/April born lambs on pasture with the ewes has shown that severe worm loads can show up in the lambs mid-June to early July if they are consuming parasite-contaminated pasture with their mothers. Ohio State University researchers zero in on what to do about these preweaned lambs.
