Life lessons learned through livestock

Mary Kate Parmer knows a thing or two about responsibility. For the past five months she has had to get up at 6 a.m. and she can’t over-sleep. If she does, it’s her lamb Finn that will suffer. At 18 years old, Mary Kate is also well versed in time management, balancing budgets, and saving money. That’s because for the past eight years she has been a part of a 4-H program where she raises lambs for sale.
