No kidding: Packgoats are premier pack animals

 A hunter spots an elk through the trees and draws his bow, carefully takes aim and strikes his target. He field dresses the animal, harvests the meat and loads game bags onto his loyal trail companions to carry out of the woods. The string of agile animals he leads back through the forest and over rugged terrain, laden with packs and panniers, are not horses, donkeys or other large mammals generally associated with working animals—they are packgoats.
